ROOTED IN THE KAMPTAL REGION
Just like our vines, the Fichtenbauer-Mold winery is deeply rooted in the Kamptal region. Family-owned from day one, our estate has a proud history that goes back centuries. In fact, the old vaulted cellars can even be found on maps from the 1800s. We also used to have an 18th century beam press in our cellar.
To begin with, winemaking was just a sideline, but in 1930 the family took the decision to channel all of its energies into wine production. Today, the third and fourth generations of full-time winemakers run the winery together. The older hands pass on their experience, traditions and expertise, and the next generation brings its own fresh ideas to the table.
CALM AND IDYLIC
Set against a picture-postcard backdrop overlooking the southern edge of Langenlois, the winery is surrounded by hillside vineyards, which are typical for this part of the world. It’s the beating heart of the winery – and our family, too. The panoramic views of the countryside from the back of the winery make the sheltered garden terrace the perfect place to enjoy great wines. Our Gelber Muskateller couldn’t taste better anywhere else than right next to the vineyards. We’re a green-fingered family, and the apples, apricots, plums and peaches we grow all find their way into our preserves and brandies.

For us, there’s nothing better than talking about our work on the estate, introducing people to our wines and spending time with our guests. We offer cellar tours and wine tastings on request. All of our wines, as well as produce including preserves and marmalades, brandies and juices are on sale at the cellar door.

Cosy and quietly located, our light-filled apartments are the ideal starting point for an unforgettable and relaxing holiday in the idyllic Kamptal valley.

Here, the day begins with a hearty breakfast on the terrace and ends with a delicious glass of wine. In between, you can enjoy culture, culinary delights, a walk in the great outdoors or simply some peace and quiet – whatever takes your fancy. Just five minutes from the town centre and a stone’s throw from the picturesque wine taverns along the Kellergasse on the Sauberg, our guesthouse is the perfect starting point for walks through the vineyards or excursions in the surrounding area.
We are members of the ‘Urlaub am Bauernhof’ association and our apartments are rated with 4 flowers.
You can expect your own apartment with a terrace in the vineyard or in loft style, a fully equipped kitchen with high-quality appliances, a Nespresso machine for your coffee enjoyment, a stylish “Zirben”-wooden bed for restful sleep, a modern walk-in shower, fluffy towels and a hairdryer.
