GRÜNER VELTLINER
RIED DECHANT
KAMPTAL
The weather conditions in the Ried Dechant vineyard play a decisive part in shaping the development of this full-bodied Grüner Veltliner. The trees to the north shelter the vineyard from the wind, meaning that the grapes ripen quickly, retaining their low acidity as a result. After harvesting, they mature in wooden barrels on fine lees for at least a year, which gives the wine time to develop its rounded, expressive character before bottling. This Grüner Veltliner is ideal for long cellaring – a wine to experience, taste and enjoy in your own time.
Located north of Langenlois around 260 to 320 metres above sea level, Ried Dechant’s deep loess soils ensure an ideal supply of water for the vines. The southeast-facing vineyard is sheltered from the wind, which helps the grapes to ripen evenly.
