OUR VINEYARD

We use grapes from three specially selected vineyards, which have consistently produced the best grapes over the years, to make our single-vineyard wines.
RIED PANZAUN
The mainly flat tracts that make up the Ried Panzaun vineyards are around 220 to 290 metres above sea level, on a high plateau south of Langenlois. The pure loess soil exhibits a balanced mineral composition, while a mix of clay and sand provides a plentiful supply of nutrients: ideal for producing a classic Grüner Veltliner.
RIED DECHANT
Located north of Langenlois around 260 to 320 metres above sea level, Ried Dechant’s deep loess soils ensure an ideal supply of water for the vines. The southeast-facing vineyard is sheltered from the wind, which helps the grapes to ripen evenly.
RIED STEINHAUS
This steep, south-facing terraced vineyard can be found to the north-west of Langenlois. Lying between 230 and 360 metres above sea level, the subsoil is made up of dark amphibolite, with eye-catching veins of light-coloured rock running through it in places. The topsoil has a very thin layer of loamy, sandy clay mixed with gneiss and mica schist. Because it’s so stony, the ground stores heat during the day and releases it at night. The result is even ripening and aromas that are typical for this particular terroir.
